“I got asked what inspired this collection, and to be honest, nothing but the fabric. No dress was designed beforehand trying to source fabric to match the idea, no, for me it works the other way around. I often see the roll of fabric in the shop and know exactly what I want to do with it, how I want the fabric to fall, what the detail should be and kudos to my team for making the dresses come to life! They don’t ever really get a sketch, just a rough idea that I verbally try to explain.” – Janita Toerien
